Meet Our Team


Lisa A. Frank

VR Art Director, has used virtual reality technology to explore themes related to natural world encounters. In 2011 she created an art exhibit for a CAVE (cave automatic virtual environment) which was shown at research institutions internationally for several years to follow. For this achievement the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois selected her to become a senior research fellow, the first artist given the distinction. With the assistance of the D2P igniter program at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, Lisa has continued to develop immersive, nature-based artwork to be used in wellness settings. Lisa holds an MFA in Design Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Madison where she is an adjunct professor. She is a MacDowell Colony Fellow in photography and her 2D artwork is collected widely. 


Ross Tredinnick

VR Technical Director, is a Systems Programmer at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery located on the University of Wisconsin – Madison campus. Since joining WID in 2012, Tredinnick has been involved in a multitude of collaborative research projects, ranging from the digital humanities to cultural preservation to astrophysics to healthcare in the home. All of these projects share a common theme of applying virtual reality technologies and advanced computer graphics to aid in research areas. Ross holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.


Timothy Arment

VR Art, is a digital artist specializing in 3D modeling, 3D animation and virtual reality development. Currently based out of Madison, Wisconsin, Timothy's fine art practice uses software and cutting edge technology to investigate the boundaries of reality and perception. Timothy has an MFA in 4D media from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
